CLIENT

We proudly represent a global market leader of engineering solutions in, measuring and process technologies within industrial weighing, feeding, screening, and automation. This client has an outstanding (international) reputation, in Engineering and Manufacturing across the mining & resources sectors.

We seek on their behalf a dedicated OHSE professional to join their Jandakot based operation on a temporary 3 - 6 months basis with a focus on supporting the OHSE team with the transition in to their new facility in Jandakot

The Position

You will be reporting to the OHSE Manager with a focus on refreshing the SOP’s, Risk assessments and related VOC documentation.

KEY REQUIREMENTS
  • Cert IV in Occupational Health & Safety/WHS desirable
  • Previous safety administration experience (minimum 2 years) essential
  • Previous document development and document management experience (minimum 2 years)
  • Experience with training and competency requirements
  • Aptitude for technology with experience in multiple software applications and/or business information systems
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively and efficiently on individual assignments or team projects without direct supervision
  • Effective analytical problem solving skills and make effective decisions, often at short notice
  • Being able to prioritize workloads
  • Strong time management and organisational skills
  • Ability to deliver to tight deadlines
  • Modern and consultative approach to Safety and the service

Main Accountabilities
  • Refresh existing and develop new SOP’s, risk assessments and COV documentation
  • Assist in maintaining training and VOC documents for high risk equipment and activities
  • Capturing actions and minutes from site related meetings
  • Updating ChemAlert database with dangerous goods on site
  • Other duties that are within the skills and experience of the person deemed appropriate by the OHSE Manager.
  • Assist the OHSE team in administration duties as required
