The Client

Our client is a global market leader of solutions in measuring and process technologies in industrial weighing, feeding, screening and automation. They are an International Engineering and Manufacturing Company servicing the Mining & Resources sectors, holding an outstanding reputation. There manufacturing workshops are both based on the Henderson Industrial Park, south of the river looking after mine sites for Rio Tinto, FMG & BHP nationally.

The Role

We are seeking experienced Service Engineers to join an expanding team. This role requires extensive travel, weekend work and site visits at short notice so we are seeking a flexible yet dedicated professional.

Main Responsibilities

  • Perform a range of duties relating to installation, commissioning, maintenance, repair and process improvement of equipment on customer sites
  • Perform inspections and testing, equipment fitness checks, problem identification and solution, root cause analysis on customer equipment and provide information to the Engineering team as required
  • Provide assistance with commissioning scope and plan development, assist with site mobilisation
  • Support the AM Technical Support Reps and CSRs with assistance on parts identification, compatibility, spare parts lists, basic equipment operation and maintenance support knowledge
  • Oversee and supervise maintenance/repair activities on customers sites
  • Prepare scopes of work for ongoing customer maintenance
  • Shares knowledge of vibration and train loading equipment to provide best practice
  • Seeks opportunities for provide company equipment servicing, spare parts and training
  • Delivers equipment training packages to customers 'operational and maintenance teams
  • Completes initial inspections and equipment testing, fault finding and technical reporting in the role of first communicator to customer equipment issues
  • Promotes companies full product range and services when on site with our customers
  • Supports sales and engineering teams to identify equipment design and process upgrade opportunities

The Requirements
  • Tertiary qualifications in Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering or trade qualifications and extensive related experience
  • Vibration Analysis Level 1 desired
  • Machinery Lubrication Level 1 desired
  • Solid and demonstrable understanding of mechanical design
  • Basic understanding of vibrating equipment design focusing on mechanical and dynamic components (i.e stress, strain, natural resonance, etc)
  • Demonstrated practical experience and understanding of vibrating equipment maintenance and operation
  • Mineral processing training desired
  • Conversant in MS Office including MS Project
  • Able to demonstrate technical report writing
  • Proven customer relationship skills
