The Client:

Our client is an International Engineering and Manufacturing Company servicing the Mining & Resources sectors, holding an outstanding reputation in this sector & seen as a global market leader in measuring, process technologies in industrial weighing, screening & automation.

We presently seek on their behalf experienced Service Engineers (Mechanical).

The Role: We are seeking experienced Mechanical Service Engineers to join an expanding team. You would be working both out of Henderson as well as FIFO site based. This role may at times require extensive travel, weekend work, site visits may be at short notice so we are seeking a flexible yet dedicated professional. Main Responsibilities:
  • Perform a range of duties relating to installation, commissioning, maintenance, repair and process improvement of equipment on customer sites
  • Perform inspections and testing, equipment fitness checks, problem identification & solution, root cause analysis on customer equipment and provide information to the Engineering team as required
  • Provide assistance with commissioning scope and plan development, assist with site mobilisation
  • Support the AM Technical Support Reps and CSRs with assistance on parts identification, compatibility, spare parts lists, basic equipment operation and maintenance support knowledge
  • Oversee and supervise maintenance/repair activities on mines sites
  • Prepare scopes of work for ongoing customer maintenance
  • Share knowledge of vibration and train loading equipment to provide best practice
  • Complete initial inspections in equipment testing, fault finding and technical reporting 
  • To promote companies full product range and services with clients 
  • Support sales and engineering teams to identify equipment design and process upgrade opportunities

The Requirements 
  • Tertiary qualification in Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering plus related experience
  • Previous Mechanical Trades qualification (well received)
  • Proven Customer relationships skills 
  • Demonstratable technical reporting skills
  • Solid and demonstrable understanding of mechanical design
  • Understanding of vibrating equipment design focusing on mechanical and dynamic components (i.e stress, strain, natural resonance, etc)
  • Demonstrated practical experience and understanding of vibrating equipment maintenance and operation
  • Mineral processing training desired
  • Experienced in MS Office including MS Project
  • Able to demonstrate technical report writing
  • Proven customer relationship skills
  • Technical reporting skills
  • Excellent communications skills, verbal & written
