The Client:

Our client is one of the world's leading medical technology companies, offering innovative products and services in Orthopaedics, Medical and Surgical equipment and Neurotechnology and Spine.

Position Title: Medical Kit Assembler

This role is best suited to a person who is looking to excel, progress and has high expectations of themselves. 

Job Role:
  • Coordinate the processing of all customer orders and re-supplies within local branch while achieving service metrics
  • Partner with sales personnel, customers, technical personnel, customer service and the warehouse team and provide proactive communication for all orders and delivery instructions
  • Provide after-hours support to our customers through our On Call service as per local rosters
  • Maintain inventory integrity through maintenance of system generated reports to ensure accuracy of our assets.

Key Areas of Accountability:
  • Proactively work with the Scheduling team to ensure customer orders are dispatched in order of priority and as per work instructions while achieving service metrics.
  • Check kit returns and ensure they are intact and not contaminated.  Take steps to ensure kits are sterile and cleaned in accordance with published work and safety processes and procedures
  • Assist the Kit Scheduler on stock control and order stock as instructed, including replacement for damaged or out of date stock
  • Ensure work areas are kept tidy and clean in accordance with OHS standards and as per daily business checks
  • Liaise with customer service personnel for urgent dispatches and provide proactive communication of delivery instructions to the sales team.
  • Ensure all compliance requirements are met locally including pre and post audit needs and Cold Chain maintenance

Critical Requirements: (eg: skills, experience, qualifications):
  • Ability to work autonomously with a high level of accuracy
  • Ability to work effectively within a team environment and work under pressure to meet deadlines
  • Computer skills to operate Stryker JDE system and complete basic computer operations
  • Knowledge of warehouse workings and safe working practices
  • Awareness of quality management
  • Good communications skills to deal with staff, internal and external customers and suppliers
  • Participation in the On Call and weekend work rosters

Desirable Requirements: (eg: skills, experience, qualifications):
  • Knowledge of the medical devices industry would be an advantage
  • Previous experience working in a warehouse in a technology related industry an advantage
